Mr James Kariuki is a conservation specialist, leadership trainer and institutional development professional,with more than 20 years of experience across the United Kingdom and Africa. His work focuses on strengthening institutions, advancing sustainable conservation practices and improving service delivery through leadership training, strategic partnerships and capacity-building initiatives.

He is the Director of Paniel Ltd – Training & Consultancy and Paniel Care Ltd, organisations that deliver leadership training, institutional advisory services and supported-living solutions. Through these organisations, James collaborates with governments, public & private institutions, conservation agencies and community organisations across the world.

James studied BSc (Hons) and MSc in Wildlife Conservation and Habitat Management at the University of Salford (UK) and conducted international field research in Costa Rica, Malaysia and Brazil. These experiences shaped his commitment to biodiversity conservation, environmental stewardship and sustainable development.

Over the past two decades, he has worked across conservation, governance, education and healthcare leadership. He develops and delivers governance, leadership and public service training programmes for national institutions, wildlife agencies and county governments, helping strengthen institutional capacity, accountability and strategic leadership.
